Preparing our Youth to Lead with Confidence and Integrity

Sea Cadets is about learning new skills, stepping outside your comfort zone, and becoming a stronger version of yourself. From leadership and teamwork to adventure-based training opportunities, cadets grow through real experiences – not lectures.

We believe that with effort, integrity, and determination, every young person has the potential to succeed. No matter your race, background, ability, faith, or life experience — there is a place for you in our unit of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps.

You belong here.

We maintain zero tolerance for hazing, bullying, or discrimination. Respect is not optional — it is expected.

Our Program

Our Georgia unit meets once a month and focuses on leadership, citizenship, and character development. Cadets also have access to optional Sea Cadet summer and winter training programs and volunteer opportunities that support personal growth.

The mission of the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps is to build leaders of character by instilling the highest ideals of honor, respect, commitment, and service in American youth

Our Core Values

At the heart of the Sea Cadets are the core values of Honor, Respect, Commitment, and Service, which help cadets build character, confidence, and a strong sense of responsibility.

These values are more than words – they work together to guide how you think and act. Before making a choice, ask yourself if it shows honor, respect, and commitment.

Honor

We always conduct ourselves in the highest ethical manner. We are honest and truthful. We abide by an uncompromising code of integrity. We hold ourselves accountable. We take responsibility for our actions. We keep our word.

Commitment

We place the priorities of our country, the U.S Navy, the U.S Coast Guard, the U.S. Merchant Marines, the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, and our shipmates above our own.

Respect

We treat all people with dignity, fairness, and compassion. We believe in the power of diversity. We foster an inclusive culture within the U.S. Navy Sea Cadet Corps. We instill trust and respect within the chain of command, both as followers and leaders

Service

We strive to be our best by being of service to others, whether it is our fellow cadets, our subordinates, our leaders, or our fellow human beings.
