Our story
The Georgia Division was founded in February 2020, the name is tribute to the USS Georgia SSGN-729 Ohio class submarine out of Naval Base Kings Bay, GA.
USS Georgia (SSGN-729) is one of the most powerful submarines in the United States Navy. Originally launched in 1984, she was later converted into a guided-missile submarine capable of carrying up to 154 Tomahawk cruise missiles and supporting special operations forces. Homeported in Kings Bay, USS Georgia operates silently beneath the ocean’s surface, ready to respond anywhere in the world. Her stealth, strength, and advanced technology make her a vital part of America’s naval defense.
For Georgia Division Sea Cadets, USS Georgia represents strength, commitment, and service — proudly carrying the name of our state across the globe.
